Thanks for the detailed reply. That makes a lot of sense. I have around 5 micro usb <--> usb cables. Tried them all today with all available usb ports on my laptop. The issue is still there but your reply has certainly given me a new hope of troubleshooting this pedal. Thanks

@@AstralToneworx IMPORTANT : For those struggling to connect the radar to the "mooer studio for radar" software (getting the ""no device to open" among others), here are my findings, after reading various comments by other users and trying to make it work myself : - some people say you can't plug to a usb 3.0 port and you need to plug to usb 2.0 port, but some people (including me) managed to plug it to a usb 3.0 port (even on a usb hub, that was powered) and make it work - however : * not all "micro usb <-> usb 2.0" cables are equal... The first one i tried was a one that was used to charge an old phone (it had the usb 2.0 to power plug adapter with it), and it didn't work with that cable... When i switched to a different "micro usb <-> usb 2.0" cable, it worked. This one i had already used to transmit some data in the past, and it wasn't bought in a "phone charger" pack. What it means is that some "micro usb <-> usb 2.0" cables don't seem to pass data and are meant for charging only. Try different "micro usb <-> usb 2.0" cables, especially those that you bought on their own (without any "micro usb -> power plug" adapter) and that are likely to pass data * once the radar "micro usb <-> usb 2.0" cable is plugged into a usb port (usb 2.0 or 3.0, see above), you might have to wait for a bit before launching "mooer studio for radar" and connect to it, because your computer might need to try install a driver for the usb connection to the RADAR. This might be a background task not shown on screen, and might take a while (took me 4 minutes on an old laptop with a USB 2 port). So plug your usb cable, but wait for some time before trying to launch "mooer studio for radar"... * ... then it is possible that the connection to the radar fails the first time when you launch "mooer studio for radar" (the progression bar "waiting" is stopping at some point and then you get some "fail' type of message). Try to launch "mooer studio for radar" a SECOND time and this time it will surely work. * Just because you made it work on one specific usb port doesn't mean it will also work directly on other usb ports. You might need to go through the steps above to majke ti work on each other usb port. * When you made it work on one specific port, you should not need to go through the above steps again. It will work each time.

Its the Vox tone...crunchy. I think your Valve junior might be able to be turned into a Vox as well.

JMP is currently running with 2 EL34s biased for 35W in total.

I think it was the Lar Mar type

I used a Hammond 1444-28 chassis and a matching bottom plate from hammond to house the circuit. Also attached feet to the bottom. This is an older video. After that, i built an actual head cabinet for this. You can see it in this video as the last amp. ruclips.net/video/9MCIvf8Yw2Y/видео.html

KLD used to have a seller in US providing matching drilled chassis for their kits separately back in the day. Not sure if they do now. Back then, I just bought a hammond 1444-28 chassis here in Canda and drilled it to fit the kit. Its a bit more involved work and not as neat as factory cut chassis but works. The black face plate in this video is what comes with the JCM25 kit. Its a thick peel off sticker that attaches to your chassis and matches holes for the JCM kit. Hope that helps.

At lower gain settings, you can get the pristine clean tones of Hiwatt. Running it at 12V helps with higher headroom too.

Thanks a lot. The Heaven part of pedal is Supergroup amp, while Hell is infact with a treble booster engaged. So you don't really need an additonal booster with this pedal.

@@kennyh5083 Yes. The kit design has a tremolo. I believe its based on the old Bluesbreaker amps.

Thanks. I did indeed. Well, the Epi had 3 12AX7s and 2 EL84s. The stock circuit is however different and more towards Fender opr early Marshall designs. So it took quite a few changes to get it to an OR. Also, the signal passes through a digital fx circuit which you will need to bypass if you want it to stay pure tube path. If you search online, there is quite a bit of detail on converting these to a Marshall 18 watt circuit which is easier.

All of these were handwired versions. I used both JCM and JTM for different builds. I don't have pics of the inside. If i open it up at some point, will take a pic. Did you follow all the wiring diagrams they provided?

Indeed. The amp was going direct into soundcard via a resistive loadbox. Using Redwirez Marshall 4x12 Greenback cab for this one.

No. The stock kit is supposedly for 6l6 tubes. The OPT primary impedance is 5.6k. Also the PT can only support heaters for 6L6s, if you want to use EL34s or any other tubes, you will need a separate trafo for heaters.
